BLUEFIELD —
Mercer County has the highest number of hepatitis B cases in West
Virginia — the state with the most cases in the nation — but the local
health department is now getting ready to offer a vaccine against the
disease.
The Mercer County Health Department will be offering free hepatitis B
vaccine to people who are at the highest risk for contracting the
disease, said public health nurse Judy Bolton, RN.
